Tom started working in telecine at Compact Video in 1980. In 1985 he became Pacific Video’s first Colorist where he was privileged to test-pilot their Emmy award winning “Electronic Lab” which served as the prototype for all electronic post to this day. In 2007, he was Keep Me Posted’s first Colorist and worked there till 2013 when he joined the Modern VideoFilm team.

A veteran of over 20 years as a colorist in major facilities, Overton’s credits cover a broad range of television and feature work. He is known for his versatility in creating the look of shows as divergent as “Judging Amy” and “The Shield.” “Matlock”, “Beverly Hills, 90210” and “Melrose Place”. He’s timed “Northern Exposure”, “Beauty and the Beast”, “The Shield”, and more recently, “Gossip Girl”, “Californication”, “Witches of East End” and “Scorpion.” He has also color timed many TV Movies and mini-series including “Mama Flora’s Family”, “Doing Time on Maple Drive”, and “What Girls Learn” as well as KCET’s award winning mini-series “The Astronomers”. He has also worked on a long list of Disney Channel movies including “High School Musical 1 & 2”
