Re-Recording Mixer and Musician Kevin Valentine has been nominated for two Primetime Emmy Awards.

His mixing credits include: Prison Break, Mercy Street, Killing Reagan, Better Call Saul, Bones, The Good Wife, Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors, Jesse Stone: Lost in Paradise, Chasing Life, Whitney, Tyrant, Enlisted, Gossip Girl, My Boys, Charmed and Seventh Heaven to name a few.

As a drummer his credits include: Donnie Iris and The Cruisers, The Innocent (where Trent Reznor was a member before moving on to NIN), Godz, Rosie, Shadow King, Cinderella, The Lou Gramm Band (from Foreigner), Neverland, and Graham Bonnet. Kevin also played as a session musician on KISS’ Psycho Circus on all songs except for one which was played by Peter Criss.

Kevin has a unique counterpoint to his life by not only having a successful career as a musician, but also as a re-recording mixer for television and film. His approach at crafting the perfect blend of sound through subtle undertones and skill is a true art form only a musician is capable of.

Listen this week as Larry discusses Kevin’s beginnings in sound, his musical calling, their partnership in post production, and Kevin’s love for audio.
